What can Star Wars and Pontius Pilate teach us about God's design for marriage?

A surprising amount, actually.

In this episode, I'm going to dive into one of the most loaded marriage terms in the Bible: "suitable".

Do you know what this word actually means in the original Hebrew?

It's not at all what you think.

In fact, I almost never hear people talking about this.

There seem to be 2 camps that can basically be summed up as, "my wife needs to submit to everything" and "we're equal so nobody leads".

The definition of this word makes ALL the difference, and really shines a light on how God designed marriage, and how it operates best.

Why did God invent the family?

Even though it's very obviously in the Bible, most Christians today have no idea what the family is for, or why God made it.

In fact, the standard answer, at least in our Protestant churches, seems to be that the secular world's version of family is just fine and we don't need to look any further.

But this is crazy!

We have a major family crisis in the western world right now, and much of it is because Christians have forgotten what the Bible so plainly states.

In this episode, we're challenging Christians to actually take this very specific verse seriously, and start to live out the five-fold mandate God gave to families.
