  Mexican label Duro Label is preparing for a new sonic journey with the return of one of its most cherished figures, Madrid's Álvaro Cabana. His new EP, "Indian Prototype", is an exploration of rhythms rooted in the wisdom of groove and the most influential sounds of the nineties and two thousands, without yielding an ounce to nostalgia. Álvaro Cabana, an active figure in the Madrid electronic scene since the late '90s and owner of the Rotten City label (home to artists like Red Axes, Curses, Eden Burns, and DC Salas), delivers an EP that stands as a testament to his fidelity to his roots and his constant evolution. The journey kicks off with "Proto", a track imbued with an early progressive essence. Deep basslines intertwine with expansive melodies and solid rhythms, creating psychedelic atmospheres that invite you into an introspective, mysterious, and energetic dance. Following this is "Tipo", a subtle nod to Underworld. Here, acidic and resonant synthesizers take over the dancefloor, propelled by drums and rhythms designed to unleash euphoria. • Selección Dura: Factory Setup

  Escucha la Selección Dura que preparó el duo originario de Guadalajara, @factorysetup. FACTORY SETUP nace gracias a una serie de DJ sets en formato back 2 back que comenzaron Joseeph y Zhino a mediados de 2022 por el simple hecho de compartir el gusto afín que tienen por la musica. Zhino y Joseeph se conocen en Bar Americas, ambos residentes del mítico club de Electronica en Guadalajara, MX, y descubren que tienen gustos muy similares. Joseeph invita a Zhino a un B2B en julio del 2022 y obtienen una gran aceptación del público. Después de varies DJ sets en conjunto y de encontrar el sonido que quieren proyectar, deciden bautizar el proyecto con el nombre de FACTORY SETUP. DJ sets, producciones y edits que van del House al Techno y al Trance, principalmente temas olvidados y desconocidos de finales de los 80 y de la década de los 90 y 2000, todo esto combinado con musica actual que mantenga o se acople a ese sonido.   The prolific Mexican label Duro kicks off the second half of the year with an explosion of rhythm and movement courtesy of the duo Factory Setup. Their highly anticipated EP, "Afrikka", lands on June 27, 2025, promising a deep dive into hypnotic grooves, and infectious percussions. Factory Setup, the project born from the synergy of Joseeph and Zhino – both residents of Guadalajara's iconic Bar Américas. Their approach, which unearths forgotten gems from the late '80s, '90s, and 2000s and combines them with contemporary freshness, finds its ultimate expression in "Afrikka," a work celebrating the vibrant connection between Latin and African rhythms. The sonic journey begins with "Afrikka (Original Mix)", which exposes the raw backbone of the groove, allowing the percussive mystique and captivating vocals to take center stage. This leads seamlessly into "Flow First (Original Mix)", a hypnotic cut that maintains its intoxicating essence by stripping away the piano, revealing a deeper, constant pulse that ensnares you in its wave. Adding an unyielding dimension, the EP includes the "Flow First (Hardvard Bass Remix)". With solid drums and demented synthesizers, Hardvard Bass constructs a sonic voyage where a booming bassline guides you through a shower of synths.
