I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2026’s self-proclaimed “nice guy” Luke Bateman recently slid into my DMs to deliver the classic line: “but not all men.” He even attempted to explain why we should be feeling sorry for men amid a growing epidemic of male violence against women. Yes. Really.

In today’s episode, I unpack the private messages he sent after I shared a general post about misogyny, abusers, and patriarchal systems and share how I responded.

Because when a man builds a public brand and profitable career off being an ally to women and positions himself as “one of the good ones” publicly, but privately displays the same toxic masculinity he regularly calls out, it raises important questions about performative allyship, accountability, and what real support for women actually looks like.
