Episode 109: Resident Evil 4 & Its Influences
21/12/2025 | 2h 43min
Following our popular podcast last year of the original trilogy and its impact on the survival horror genre, we return to examine the most influential RE title on the wider gaming industry - Resident Evil 4. 20 years since its original release, the mechanics of the gaming loop have impacted so many titles, that we felt it prudent to take a closer look at the horror games that came after with recommendations and a healthy discussion of other games too. Join Rombie, Neptune, Stars TyranT and a delighted George Trevor as we chat all things Silent Hill, Cold Fear, Dead Space and many more as we bring down our curtain on 20 years of Biohazard4. We are also joined by special guest Brandon Salisbury to celebrate the release of his George Romero documentary whilst teasing up and coming projects with RE alumni.

Episode 108: Resident Evil - The T-Virus
23/11/2025 | 2h 20min
Welcome to a deep-dive on one of the key lore elements of the entire franchise. The t-virus is what started it all, creating the various zombies and monsters we have all fallen in love with for almost 30 years now. In this episode, we extrapolate the virus from top to bottom, going back to its origins with the Progenitor Virus, then looking at the entire history of Umbrella's t-virus project, discussing all its variants, its properties, and what the goal was behind it all. Also discussed is the Tyrant Project and some of the known t-virus variants that were developed after Umbrella's demise. In the news we look at various Requiem updates and GOG's release of OG Resident Evil 2 and 3, including the concerning quotes that Capcom appear so dismissive of these original classics. Finally Nick gets all excited about Resident Evil: Survival Unit, so much so he's booked time off to play it. Please enjoy.

Episode 107: Happy Birthday Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways
25/10/2025 | 2h 24min
Released in the United States 20 years to the day, the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 marked a major first in the Biohazard series - the first subsequent re-release with a major canonical add-on in the form of the wonderful Separate Ways campaign. At the time whilst such a notion greatly annoyed GameCube owners, many saw Separate Way as the extra that "saved the game" in terms of connection to the overall Resident Evil lore. 20 years on, REP once again make their way back to Spain to replay this short and sweet Ada adventure beginning to end. We recount our tales with tips and tricks from various platforms - that is if Neptune does not have any issues playing with a WaveBird controller. News includes the surprising revelation that Switch 2 is getting a Requiem release - as well more updates from Survival Unit - much to STARS TyranT's dismay!

Episode 106: Resident Evil Requiem Demo
04/9/2025 | 1h 30min
With Capcom building up the hype nicely for Resident Evil 9 at recent gameshows, we thought it would a good idea to discuss the recently released (albeit limited) demo that was made available at Gamescom 2025. To bring some first hand impressions to the table, REP is delighted to have legendary content creator, writer, voice actor and all round biohazard superfan, Suzi the Sphere Hunter join Neptune, Rombie and Astra (Mr. Spencer) in this bonus podcast! Suzi is able to share the time spent exploring this forsaken hospital, the intricacies of the monster (Lisa?), camera angles, ray tracing and tactics that fans can all look forward to when the game drops next year! (Hopefully the demo soon!) A big thanks for Suzi for taking the time to share with us and we hope you enjoy!

Episode 105: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Retrospective
13/8/2025 | 2h 10min
In what can be described as one of the last canonical spin offs in the Resident Evil series, Revelations 2 is now a decade old - so what better opportunity to return to this hellish island and see how this early PS4/Xbox One title holds up 10 years later. A known favourite game of George Trevor and most of the team as a whole with credit often being given for bringing horror back to the series. Can Neptune finally get to grips with the controller lay out and does the once fancy episodic release structure actually hinder it in today's market? We look back on this quirky and often campy/b-movie title to see if we can recommend it to new and old players alike. Meanwhile the news is dominated by some non-canon up and comings with Survival Unit and Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot. Enjoy.
