  • The Murder of Terry Dolowy
Episode 200: The Murder of Terry DolowyIn 1985, Terry Dolowy was only 24 years old when her decapitated remains were found set ablaze. Investigators combed over the scene and the very little evidence available to them, but her case quickly grew cold. DNA technology was minimal at best, and much of the evidence in her case had to wait decades before proper testing was available. It wasn’t until 2023 that investigators had a promising DNA match, and in 2024 that man was arrested and charged in her murder. Her case is currently unsolved, though many are hopeful that justice will be served with a conviction. • Roundtable: The Perfect Neighbor
Episode 199: Roundtable: The Perfect NeighborIn this episode, we have a chatty roundtable and debrief about the hit Netflix documentary “The Perfect Neighbor” in which Ajike “AJ” Owens is shot and killed by her neighbor Susan Lorincz through a closed door. After more than a year of tension between the two, and several calls made by Susan to 9-1-1 over AJ’s and other children playing near her home, the tension reached a point of no return when AJ was shot outside Susan’s home. We highly recommend watching the documentary prior to listening to this episode!Tune in to this episode to learn more!Email us at: [email protected] us on IG: about.time.for.true.crime.podLinktreeDon’t forget to rate, follow, download, and tell a friend!Sources

  • Teresita Basa: The Voice from Beyond
Episode 197: Teresita Basa: The Voice from Beyond In February 1977, the 15th floor of an apartment building on the north side of Chicago filled with smoke. Neighbors called for help and firefighters arrived to the scene, where they found the smoke coming from a single apartment. Once inside, they found a mattress in flames. Once the flames were extinguished, they learned it wasn’t the scene of just an arson, but a homicide. Teresita Basa’s body was found in her apartment, and the fire had destroyed their hopes for evidence. In August of that year, Dr. Jose Chua and his wife Remy claimed to have a lead in the murder; further, they claimed the information came from Teresita herself. Her spirit, that is. In this episode, we discuss how Teresita’s murder was solved. Do you believe she aided in her own murder investigation?
