The Phoenix Suns suffered a heartbreaker Tuesday night, falling 123-121 at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. Devin Booker’s potential game-winner fell just short at the buzzer, as a floater from Nikola Jokic was what ultimately put the Nuggets up for good.

 

Booker finished the game with a team-high 22 points but he shot just 5-of-14 from the field. On the other side, Jokic recorded a massive triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 17 assists. Phoenix enjoyed the returns of Grayson Allen (21 points) and Royce O’Neale (17 points) but their contributions just weren’t quite enough.

 

While it was a tough loss, the Suns showed a few things to be encouraged by throughout the course of the game. Ultimately, the team has fallen to 40-33 on the season and will again be in search of answers moving forward. PHNX Suns breaks down a thriller that came down to the final seconds. The Phoenix Suns have reached 40 wins with 10 games remaining in the 2025-26 regular season, a major milestone given preseason expectations. As the postseason quickly approaches, the Suns do face a number of questions that will determine their ceiling and ability to make noise in the Play-In Tournament and, potentially, the NBA Playoffs.

 

Phoenix recently snapped a five-game losing streak and did so without six key players from its rotation. The Phoenix Suns bounced back in a major way, snapping their five-game losing streak with a 120-98 win over the Toronto Raptors. Phoenix led wire to wire to earn its 40th win of the season and was led by efforts from its star duo of Devin Booker and Jalen Green.

 

Booker finished with 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting while Green scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting. As a team, the Suns had a red-hot start and never looked back, sinking 18 3s at a 45.0% clip, while also holding the Raptors to 9-of-27 shooting from deep.

The Phoenix Suns hit a new low Saturday, losing a season-high fifth-consecutive game to a Milwaukee Bucks team without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, among others. After holding Milwaukee to 15 points in the first frame, Phoenix was outscored, 93-79, in the final three frames to lose by three.

 

Phoenix was shorthanded itself, taking the floor without Grayson Allen, Dillon Brooks, Amir Coffey, Haywood Highsmith, Royce O’Neale and Mark Williams, but it still had its duo of Devin Booker and Jalen Green. That duo, however, combined to score 38 points on 13-of-34 shooting, and could not make enough plays in the clutch.
