UNSOLVED: Elena Sanchez Hawkins with A Simpler Time True Crime
Hey Everyone, I decided to take the week off due to family passing through Las Vegas and the holiday weekend. But never fear!!!! Please allow me to introduce to you my dear friend Megan from A Simpler Time True Crime. Her style is very similar to mine and I think you all will find that she's a new podcast to add to your list! On an early Wednesday morning in 1992, a husband and father called home to check in on his family. His wife was typically on her own in the morning, managing the routine of caring for their preschooler while getting their elementary-aged son up and moving and out the door while he was at work. Appreciating that she had her hands full, he liked to call to make sure the older boy was getting out of bed and on the bus okay. His first call went unanswered, which he found odd but he dismissed his worry. But the feeling just nagged at him, so a little while later he called back. This time someone did answer, but the voice on the other end wasn’t his wife. It was the voice of a three year old who simply said “Mommy’s bleeding.”
Those two words would jumpstart an investigation into one of the most gruesome and senseless murders the area has ever seen. Despite the circumstances, the case is hugely underreported on. Luckily, the DNA evidence means this case could soon be solved.

MISSING MONDAYS: Tyarra Williams
On January 7th, 2016, 19-year-old Tyarra Williams had spent the morning getting enrolled in college courses that she was eager to begin. Later that evening after visiting with her mom she enjoyed dinner at her grandma's house with her boyfriend and brother. Around 8:30pm she told them she was going to meet up with a guy named Travis and she would be back within an hour. Tyarra never came back.

MURDERED: Mary Schiavone with Least of These
A phone call, a housekeeper, and a crackpipe.
On May 17th, 2023, 34-year-old Anthony Corrado called his grandparent's housekeeper and told her he needed help cleaning up a mess at the home.
When the housekeeper arrived, she stumbled into a horrific scene. 82-year-old, Mary Schaivone had been brutally murdered.
As the housekeeper went for help, 74-year-old, Tony Schaivone arrived home.

On June 2nd, 2007, 18-year-old Kelsey Smith went to Target to shop for an anniversary gift for her boyfriend. When she didn't return home everyone knew this was out of character for the reliable and responsible teen. They quickly began searching for Kelsey but she remained missing for four days before she was found deceased.
