Investigators initially wondered if his killing was connected to organized crime, but as they started digging into his secret life, they found themselves pulled into a world of Hollywood celebrities, Playboy, wealthy businessmen, and dangerous connections.

*UPDATED EPISODE* If you’ve been following my Lindsay Clancy coverage, some of the beginning of this episode may sound familiar. With everything that unfolded during the trial, I wanted to create one complete deep dive that takes you from the very beginning of the case through the mistrial and everything that happened in between. So even if you’ve heard some of the backstory before, there is a lot of new information and trial coverage ahead.

In January 2023, a case shocked the nation when Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts labor and delivery nurse and mother of three, was accused of killing her young children before attempting to take her own life, leaving her paralyzed. From the beginning, the case sparked a fierce debate: was Clancy suffering from a devastating episode of postpartum psychosis, or did she deliberately plan the killings? After years of legal battles, her highly anticipated trial finally began in July 2026, with prosecutors and the defense presenting sharply conflicting accounts of her mental state and what happened inside her home that night. Now, after more than 38 hours of deliberations, the jury has deadlocked and a mistrial has been declared—leaving the case without a verdict and raising the possibility of a retrial.
