This week we explore the controversial second film in the Elm Street series, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE (1985), discussing how the series and its iconic villain evolved from the first installment. Then we look at another movie about a young man seemingly possessed by a supernatural force driving him to kill, 1986's DREAMANIAC.

Fun Facts: The school where both A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and The Karate Kid (1984) were filmed was indeed also used for Summer School (1987).

And the bar in the Police Academy series was The Blue Oyster.

One... Two... Freddy's coming for you...

There's plenty to keep you awake in our super-sized kickoff to our brand new series, GET ME ANOTHER... A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.

First, we'll explore Wes Craven's 1984 classic that introduced the world to iconic horror villain Freddy Krueger, a killer who stalks teenagers in their dreams. Then we'll look at TRICK OR TREAT (1986), a film featuring one of the earliest "Freddy-esque" killers, a demonic musician resurrected through the power of heavy metal.

Special Guest Max Evry returns to the show to tell us about his new book STRANDED ON EARTH: HOW NIGHT SKIES BECAME E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL. Then we dive into one of the most infamous E.T. clones, MAC AND ME (1988) which features brands such as McDonalds and Coca-Cola to an absurd degree.

It's Turkish E.T.-knockoff double feature week!

That's right, we have not one but two E.T.-inspired films from Turkey.

First is 1983's BADI featuring a gassy alien who befriends a young boy. Then we explore HOMOTI (1987) which sees an alien with an enormous booty develop a crush on an unethical journalist.
