What if the battle you’re facing isn’t meant to break you, but to build something stronger within you?

In this episode of the My Morning Devotional Podcast, Richelle Alessi begins a new journey through the book of James with James 1:1–8. These verses challenge us to look at trials differently, recognizing that the testing of our faith can produce perseverance, maturity, and a deeper trust in God.

Richelle encourages us to shift our focus from the difficulty of the trial to what God may be developing through it. Instead of only asking, “Why is this happening?” we can begin asking, “God, what are You building in me?”

In this daily devotional, you’ll be encouraged to:

See trials as opportunities for spiritual growth.
Ask God for wisdom when you don’t know what to do.
Allow perseverance to strengthen your faith.
Trust that God is working in you through difficult seasons.

The battle may be uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to be wasted. With God, the challenges you face can increase your capacity, strengthen your faith, and develop the maturity you’ll need for what comes next.

Whatever you’re facing today, remember: the trial isn’t only about what you’re going through. It may also be about who God is building you to become.
