To All The Rom Coms We've Loved Before

If you haven’t watched this movie, you need to get your f***ing a** up and WORK. Rat-forward, vampire-forward rom coms DO exist and they are INSANE! For an Amy Heckerling movie about vampire romance, we make a surprising amount of jokes about The Crucible and Edgar Allen Poe (separately).

Begging you to watch this and lmk what you think.

Ali Hazelwood, the woman you are! We are absolutely hyped to be covering The Love Hypothesis (2026), starring Lili Reinhart, Tom Bateman, and NO rainbow socks! (IYKYK…we will get into it). This adaptation was for booktok and for that we thank you.

Listen on for our raves and rants!

We’re continuing our religious streak with Joyful Noise (2012), starring Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, and Keke Palmer! This was Sarah’s sister’s hyperfixation movie growing up, but other than that it feels like this exists in an alternate timeline. Whichever timeline we’re in, thank God we have a movie with these three legends SANGIN’ TOGETHER!!!!

We are Double-Dolly-ing and covering 9 to 5 on the Patreon next week, so subscribe and Double-Dolly with us :-)

Sandy & Nicole are back!!!!! We love our original Practical Magic gals no matter how bad the sequel is! We have MANY thoughts, so stick with us as we go through them beat by beat.

We are dying to know your thoughts, so leave us a comment!

We know this isnt a rom com (except for the love of god maybe?), but it was originally a Patreon episode for (Catholic) Sarah’s (Catholic) birthday week. Alas, we had to pivot (PIVOT!) due to a family emergency.

Please enjoy us being a little edgier than we typically are on Main!!

If you're interested in the movie Christina talks about at the end it's The Magdalene Sisters (2002) and it is tragic and also they aren't nuns...I hadn't seen it in 6 years so I got everything wrong except the really bad stuff!
