AFOLs Welcome: A Lego Podcast

In this week’s episode, Grinch and Cat are joined by ClickBrickWorks, AKA Christopher, and today we are talking about the evolution of LEGO content creation. How has it changed over the past 10 years, what is the current state? Is it in a bad or a good state, and how can we do better as content creators to serve up content that is enjoyable, worthwhile, and responsible.

As always, happy building and we hope you enjoy the episode!

X-Men is all the rage nowadays with the revival/continuation series X-Men ’97 dominating Disney+. So we decided to go back to the beginning and find out how X-Men: The Animated Series got its start and sustained some serious comic book cred for five glorious seasons. And who better to guide us than Eric and Julia Lewald, a showrunner and writer (respectively) on the series! We get into everything, from how the series developed and which characters were chosen to how storylines unfolded and where they mined the comics for ideas.

You can follow Eric and Julia on all the socials @xmentas and their site xmentas.com. While you’re there, pick up one of their books on the subject: X-Men: The Art and Making of an Animated Series and Previously on X-Men: The Making of an Animated Series.
