In this episode of the “Ecologia” podcast, we host Ms. Naïla Benlousif, a researcher in ecology and nature conservation, a PhD candidate, and an environmental activist from Annaba, Algeria. She is also a founding member of the organization “Green Ground Algeria.”
Together, we explore issues related to biodiversity conservation in Algeria, as well as the role of scientific research and local initiatives in protecting nature.
Naïla also shares her perspective as an artist, inviting us to rethink our relationship with nature as individuals. In this episode of the Ecologia podcast, we host a group of Arab youth participating in the GreenX MENA event in Tunisia, which brought together more than 150 young people from North Africa and the Middle East. The aim of the gathering was to develop youth-led recommendations to be presented at the Climate Conference in Brazil and the upcoming UN Water Summit in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
From Palestine, Tunisia, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Oman, and Lebanon, our guests discuss the importance of unifying Arab youth through regional platforms for exchanging knowledge and raising policy-oriented recommendations that support climate adaptation and enhanced water resilience. They also highlight the role of young people in delivering practical and innovative solutions that can be implemented at both community and regional levels.
