Ski bumming, building chairlifts and falling upstairs with Herman the German and Polka Dan. Meet Larry Daniels. Larry worked and skied in the West as a young man before learning a bit about building ski lifts. He jumped on a job offer to come to Alaska in the early 1970’s. Larry takes us on a journey through the early years at Alyeska Resort to skiing in Japan in the 80’s and beyond. We touch on bar tabs, chairlifts as babysitters and renting sailboats.
In this episode, Larry talks of ski bumming, traveling to ski, and advice to the potential ski bum.
