But as the public learned more about the evidence, and about Goetz himself, the story seemed to shift. Elliot Williams is a CNN legal analyst and former federal prosecutor. The kids were terrified as they struggled to stay alive, and then a 14-year-old boy took control. It’s an incredible story of survival.
