#359 Young Earth, Old Earth, or Theistic Evolution? with Dr. Tricia Scribner

    01/03/2026 | 1h 42min
Today’s episode tackles a topic I’ve wanted to explore for years: the age of the earth and what Christians should really believe about origins. Is the earth young? Is it old? Did God use evolutionary mechanisms to bring about life as we know it? And most importantly, what actually matters theologically?

Joining me in the studio is Dr. Tricia Scribner, whose PhD research focused specifically on these questions. Together we unpack the key differences between young earth creationism, old earth creationism, and theistic evolution. These are distinctions that are far more significant than they first appear. We also discuss the overlap between progressive Christianity and Theistic Evolution.

Ultimately, we examine why confusion about origins is growing in churches, seminaries, and Christian universities — and how Christians can think carefully, biblically, and charitably about these issues without turning secondary questions into unnecessary dividing lines.

#358 How Universities Quietly Changed America, with Dr. Corey Miller

    26/02/2026 | 1h 12min
If you're going to send your kids or grandkids to university, you need to understand what’s happening there. Because if you don’t, you may be paying for the apostasy of your own children.

That’s not hyperbole. That’s the sobering reality we’re discussing in today’s episode.
Our culture hasn’t just “shifted” over the last five to ten years. According to my guest, it has undergone a soft revolution; one that didn’t begin with riots or political slogans, but in classrooms, lecture halls, and faculty lounges decades ago. The real battleground wasn’t first Washington, it was the university.

Today I’m joined by Dr. Corey Miller, president of Ratio Christi and author of The Progressive Miseducation of America. Drawing from years of teaching philosophy and comparative religion at Indiana University and leading a campus apologetics ministry active on over 100 universities, Dr. Miller explains how higher education became the epicenter of an ideological transformation reshaping the West.

    In this conversation, we explore:

What a “soft revolution” actually is—and why it’s more powerful than most people realize
How universities shifted from truth-seeking institutions to engines of worldview formation
Why politics is downstream from culture—and culture is downstream from education
How even Christian colleges are not immune to ideological capture
The rise of what some are calling the “woke right”—and why Dr. Miller argues that label is misleading
Why terms like “dissident right” may better capture the philosophical roots of certain emerging movements
Dr. Miller also shares his personal story—from seventh-generation Mormon (with ancestors connected to Joseph Smith) to skeptic to Christian philosopher—and how that journey shaped his passion to help students not just survive university, but thrive intellectually and spiritually.

Perhaps most importantly, we discuss what parents, pastors, and students can actually do. If revolutions can happen slowly through institutions, then rebuilding must be intentional and long-term. Dr. Miller even talks about a 40–50 year strategy for reclaiming the university.

This episode is sobering, clarifying, and surprisingly hopeful.
If you care about the next generation, about truth, and about the future of Christian witness in the academy.

#357 Not Every Doctrine Is Equal (Here’s Why), with David Geisler

    22/02/2026 | 1h 17min
In a “can’t we all just agree to disagree?” age, how do Christians know which doctrines are worth dividing over—and which ones faithful believers can disagree about in good conscience?

The New Testament repeatedly warns that false teachers will arise from within the church, twisting the gospel and drawing people away. But that raises a crucial question: what exactly counts as “the gospel,” and what beliefs are essential to salvation?

In today’s episode, I’m joined by David Geisler, who carries on the work of his father, Dr. Norman Geisler, to help Christians sort the difference between essential and non-essential doctrines—with clarity, charity, and conviction.

We also dig into the 2025 State of Theology research (Lifeway Research commissioned by Ligonier Ministries) and the results are sobering: many professing Christians are confused about core, gospel-defining doctrines like God’s nature, the Trinity, the resurrection, and human sin.

Together, we walk through 15 core essentials—doctrines that directly relate to salvation—and talk about why some truths may be logically necessary even if a new believer can’t articulate them yet. We also discuss why compromise may be one of the biggest threats to the church right now.

If you’ve ever felt confused by the endless “lists” online, or you’ve heard progressive Christianity flatten everything into the same category, this conversation will help you think clearly and biblically about what must be protected and how to pursue unity without surrendering truth.

#356 Given 2 Weeks to Terminate Their Baby — They Chose Life, with the Leopard Family

    15/02/2026 | 47min
When Jeff and Cat Leopard learned their daughter Adelyne had Trisomy 18, they were told she was “incompatible with life,” pressured to terminate, and given a countdown on a calendar. Instead, as Christians who believe every human being is made in the image of God, they chose life, and then fought for the medical care that would honor their daughter’s dignity. What followed was heartbreak, advocacy, hospital corridors, hard conversations… and an unexpected, stubborn hope.

You’ll hear the Leopards’ full journey from the cold, clinical appointment that offered only abortion or “comfort care,” to the physicians who finally said, “We’re going to do everything we can.” We also talk candidly about what Trisomy 18 is, how the “incompatible with life” label is often used, and why Christians must think clearly about personhood, human value, and the worldview assumptions driving modern bioethics. Jeff also shares how he teaches students to spot the cracks in naturalism, and why pro-life conviction isn’t just a political position—it’s a worldview lived out in real suffering, real love, and real courage.

#355 How to Talk To Your Kids About Sex: A Biblical, Step-by-Step Guide, with Elizabeth Urbanowicz

    12/02/2026 | 56min
In this jam-packed (and super practical) conversation, I sits down with Elizabeth Urbanowicz, founder of Foundation Worldview, to tackle “the talk” for kids ages 4–10—without the awkwardness, the shame, or the purity-culture baggage.

Elizabeth models exact, age-appropriate language for:

Bodies + biology (male/female, privacy, and protection)
Sex + marriage (framed as a covenant promise, not a dirty secret)
    Reproduction (simple, clear, and biblical)
Pornography (the “Stop, Run, Tell” plan every child needs)
Gender confusion + transgender claims (truth with compassion)
Homosexuality (God’s design, sin’s distortion, and the hope of the gospel)
Masturbation (when and how to address it)

We also discuss the modesty conversation, responding to the painful message many girls heard in church: “Cover up or men will lust.” Instead, we reframe modesty as redirecting attention back to God...without making the body feel inherently shameful.

If you’ve been hesitant because you don’t want to “mess it up,” this episode will put tools in your hand and confidence in your words.
