Davina wakes up from being knocked out to find that things have gone crazy and she has lost nearly all her leverage. Meanwhile, Esther holds onto Elijah and tortures him with a memory and a metaphor that lives in his head, two things that do not get fixed by jumping bodies. Davina, with her alliance to Mikael now exposed, heads to a cabin in the woods, where she twists her ankle, flirts with Koleb, gets her bracelet deactivated, and loses possession of the white oak stake, all in about 12 hours. Klaus finally reunites with Cami to hunt down Davina, and of course get some more free therapy as he ponders killing his father (or at the very least stabbing him with Papa Tunde’s bone knife). Meanwhile in the Quarter, we meet a new werewolf, Aiden, who terrorizes Marcel’s new vampire community then immediately asks for their help saving his brother from Finncent’s “use teenagers as pawns” plan. Plus, Josh gets on the dating apps and meets a new love interest! Finally, Lenesther kidnaps Elijah, probably because she’s tired of waiting for her kids to want new bodies on their own. The Mikaelson family gets closer to a reunion, better or worse! Esther has made her identity clear so time to reveal her plan, which if we know Esther is logically flawed and selfish. tradeoff is Elijah must mentor new vampire Gia, who he mostly just sends on an errand he does not want to do. Oliver takes time to help as a spy, and Hayley uses that as an excuse to beat his ass like she should. Finn reveals his identity and loses his cool, cementing his place as mama’s boy and worst Mikaelson sibling. TO S2E2 - Alive and Kicking
With the introduction of Koleb, we take a trip down memory lane and learn more about Kol and his history with Klaus and Elijah. In flashbacks, we see Elijah oh so elegantly handle his relationship with a young and impressionable Marcel (I’m being facetious, of course he white fangs him). Meanwhile in the present, Marcel begins building his new vampire community, starting with turning Gia and recruiting Elijah. In their socialization, Elijah learns Davina has the stake, and comes face to face with Mikael. Elsewhere, Klaus brings Hayley to the bayou and performs some classic manipulation on the wolves there, then confronts Cassie and pretty quickly figures out her whole deal.
