The Chargers surprised some on Tuesday showing tremendous faith in Quentin Johnston and his role in the new offense. Los Angeles has exercised his 5th-year option guaranteeing him $18 million in 2027, instead of making him earn it in 2026. With the receiver market exploding, it may have been a great decision. One thing seems certain, and that is Mike McDaniel seems to be sure he can get even more out of the Chargers former first round pick.
