Despite an uneven week of practice leading up to Thursday's game in Los Angeles, the 49ers responded with an emphatic 41-17 thumping of the Chargers at "Levi's South" in their second preseason game. Rookies De'Zhaun Stribling, Kaelon Black and Romello Height made impressive early plays that set the tone for the rest of the matchup. Players on the bubble to make the 53-man roster -- notably Jacob Cowing -- also stepped up with some highlights later on, particularly on special teams. On "49ers Talk," Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan discuss how the 49ers were challenged on both sides of the ball in their joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday in El Segundo. Kittle remains confident he won't start the season on the PUP list and stated he could be back for the 49ers' regular-season opener in Australia.
