Paranormal Club: Ghosts, Hauntings, and Unexplained Mysteries

Did your grandma ever tell you not to sweep someone's feet? Or not to put your purse on the floor?
There are lots of scary things that our grandparents do but they never seem to explain the reasoning. I've heard creepy stories where the grandparents are so secretive, that the family is afraid to even bring up certain topics around them.
But once they pass away, these secrets are gone forever with no chance to even try to come up with theories about their beliefs.
As you listen to this episode, I want you to comment some of the things your grandparents (or other older relatives) warned you not to do. Did they ever explain why?

Is the paranormal simply a series of strange coincidences?
These two stories follow two storytellers. The first, Lucia begins her story in Toluca, Mexico where she discovers that she might have a "stuck shadow" (sombra pegada). But her paranormal experiences continue throughout her life, even following her across the Atlantic Ocean.
In the second, Ana from Ecuador tells us about her experiences in her grandmother's house and the thing that her grandma refuses to talk about: a strange entity that seems to lurk in one of the rooms. Interesting fact here: I have been in that house myself. And I experienced something that I break down in this episode, too.

Multiple reported sightings of strange creatures, Mexican brujas, and the infamous monsters like nahuales, La llorona, El charro negro, and more.
And the worst part? They start us young! Like a fellow spooky said, "these were our bedtime stories."But why do they feel different? Why do this stories hit so hard? Let's talk about it.

Impossible cases of people who saw dead relatives just as they were about to pass away.Sir William Barrett was a physicist who collected stories about deathbed experiences. In it, he documented the visions that deathbed patients described: the confusion after seeing relatives that they themselves didn't know were already dead.Unfortunately, Sir William Barrett passed away before he got to release his book, but his wife, a respected obstetric surgeon in Great Britain and a witness to these extraordinary cases, released it in 1926. The book is called Death-Bed Visions, if you want to check it out.Get a hold of me over at hello@paranormalclub.com or through social media as paranormalclubpod
