    Série veleiro Forel: Greenland geopolitics

    23/08/2026 | 33min
#10. Professor Klaus Dodds is an important reference as far as polar geopolitics is concerned. Even though he is not part of the Forel Heritage Association, I invited him for the final program of this series to hear some interesting facts on Greenland and the Arctic, such as its history, culture and a lot more.

Thanks so much for all the great people of the Forel Heritage Association that I was fortunate to meet during this expedition. Also to dear friend Thierry Stump, for “planting the seed” on me, so that I could produce this content as a podcast series.

    Cheers!

The second part of this episode is with Thomas, also born in Nuuk and currently living in Italy. Although he is not involved with the Forel Heritage Association, I invited him for this series to hear some interesting advice before travelling to the beautiful island. Enjoy!

This podcast is the ninth of a special series which will take you through the past and present life of "the big lady" - a Brazilian-built vessel refitted into a research platform, allowing international scientists to work in subpolar and polar regions. You will also get to know the inspiring people who make this great initiative happen.
