Primum Deus

Many Christians think of offerings mainly as donations given to support the church. The Bible presents a profoundly different perspective.
In this episode, we begin with the book of Malachi, exploring its historical setting, God's covenant love, and the prophet's call to wholehearted worship. From there, we examine Malachi's rebuke of compromised worship and discover how it lays the foundation for a biblical theology of offerings.
Rather than viewing offerings as merely charitable donations, Scripture presents them mainly as acts of worship—grateful responses to God's prior provision. We explore the biblical principles of regular, systematic, and proportional giving, the significance of the storehouse, and the relationship between offerings and the mission of God's people. The episode also explains the theological foundation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's representative system of finance and the Combined Offering Plan, showing how these principles support local, regional, and worldwide mission in harmony with Acts 1:8.
Drawing on Malachi, Proverbs 3, 1 Corinthians 16, Malachi 3, and Acts 1:8, this study invites pastors, church leaders, and church members to see every blessing as an opportunity to honor God. Instead of giving merely in response to the church's needs, we are called to worship the God who gives first.

Sabedoria Financeira Espiritual 
* Sequence is important: trabalhar, ganhar, dar (Deus, necessitados), economizar (poupar), investir, gastar.
* First things first - God, needy, savings, needs.
* Develop contentment. A dívida é frequentemente o resultado do descontentamento por ter apenas o  que é possível ter. As pessoas ficam endividadas para comprar aquilo para o qual não teriam dinheiro. (Josanan). Phil 4:11-12.
* Live on what belongs to you - do not borrow
* Only use money that is already in your bank account. Do not count on resources you have not yet received. 
Pay what you owe
* Adopt a simple lifestyle - no ostentation. Phil 4:12 
* Gather the crumbles.
How to avoid debts

* Watch the little outgoes
* Stop every leak. It is the little losses that tell heavily in the end. Small leaks have sunk many a ship
* Gather up the fragments; let nothing be lost.     
* Waste not the minutes in talking; wasted minutes mar the hours.
* Persevering diligence, working in faith, will always be crowned with success.
* Study how to save expenses, so that the institutions shall not become involved in debt.
* Wisdom must be shown in the matter of purchasing. 
* Money must be made to go as far as possible. By careful management, many dollars may be saved.
* Expenditures should not be made unless they are warranted by the means in hand. 
* Make… expenditures as few as possible; for necessities will arise where every dollar will be needed
* Many poor families are poor because they spend their money as soon as they receive it.
