• Episode #200 - Spoiler Discussion of Episodes 6-8 of The Acolyte & The Future of Star Wars

  In what looks set to be our final episode, we discuss episodes 6-8 of The Acolyte, as well as reflecting on the show as a whole. We discuss the dynamic between Osha and Qimir, the unsettling bond between Sol and Osha, and the endemic corruption of the Jedi Order in the run-up to the prequels. Following this, we enter into a broader discussion on our feelings of the implications of the cancellation of The Acolyte - what does this choice say about the franchise's current position, and what are our fears and hopes for its future? We get serious and a bit cynical, so apologies in advance for the dour note. But ultimately, we end on hope - Star Wars always moves in cycles, and we're both confident that something great will come from it again in the future. It will just be a question of seeing when... A massive thank you to everyone who has ever listened to our little Star Wars podcast. We've been doing this since 2016, and while it feels like the right time to bring it to a close it's still the close of a very important and special chapter of our time in fandom.
