Season 16, Episode 143 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing it being June 1st and how there is a lot of buzz surrounding the Cleveland Browns possibly trading away DE Myles Garrett soon.
On the heels of there being a lot of talk about the 55 total touches per game stat that new Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy is big on, Alex and I take a deep dive into the history and significance of that statistic as it relates to his own career. Alex and I wonder if there really should be a ton made about that stat overall and especially when it comes to the 2026 season.
Alex recently wrote about four offensive stats that the Steelers must improve in 2026, so we spend some time going over each of those that he highlighted and why.
The Steelers will hold their annual mandatory minicamp this week, so Alex and I go over a few key things to look for during the upcoming practice sessions. We discuss whether we should expect Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. to do much of anything this week and if it will be a true sign that a training camp hold-in might be on the horizon.
This 66-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above, and we make sure to answer a few listener emails we have received to close out this show.
