Beatles News Briefs host Steve Marinucci talks to Global Beatles Day founder Faith Cohen about the idea she had in 2009 to celebrate Global Beatles Day on June 25 (the date on which the Beatles' worldwide premiere and global broadcast of "All You Need Is Love" took place back in 1967), which has now been officially recognized by the Beatles and will be celebrated by them annually.

This week’s episode takes a deep dive into The Beatles by Jim Marshall – Candlestick Park Live, the newly released book showcasing a remarkable collection of never‑before‑seen photos from The Beatles’ final ticketed concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 29, 1966. The book also includes a rich archive of images from the band’s 1965 Cow Palace performance, offering an intimate look at two historic moments in Beatles history.

We’re joined by Amanda Davis, former assistant to legendary rock photographer Jim Marshall, along with veteran music journalist Joel Selvin, who contributed an in‑depth essay exploring the cultural impact and behind‑the‑scenes story of the 1966 show.

Our guest this week is author Dave Schwensen,, whose book "The Beatles In Cleveland," is the authoritative work on the two Beatles concerts in that city that were stopped by the police because of riotous fans. Schwensen announces here he's releasing an expanded edition of that book and he tells us all about it. We also review Paul McCartney's new "The Boys of Dungeon Lane" album. Keith pulls back the curtain on what it was really like to help build the Anthology, the hunt for never‑before‑seen clips, and the detective work required to bring lost Beatles and pop music history back to life. He'll relate the story of showing a found clip to a British singing legend and their reaction.  He even teases the subject of his next Beatles history book — a project packed with archival discoveries and now nearing the finish line.
