The Global CCS Status Report 2020 demonstrates the vital role of carbon capture and storage technologies (CCS) in reducing emissions to net-zero by 2050 as well as documenting the current status and important milestones for the technology over the past 12 months.
In part one of the report launch, Norway's Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Tina Bru, provides keynote remarks.
The Institute's General Manager of Communications and Advocacy, Guloren Turan, and General Manager of Client Engagement, Jeff Erikson present key findings of the report, followed by an audience Q&A session facilitated by Client Engagement Manager Jamie Burrows.

The Global CCS Institute, in partnership with Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), took part in Climate Week NYC 2020. Along with releasing a key net zero report, two panel discussions were held with climate policy experts and industry leaders.
In part one of our Climate Week event, Global CCS Institute CEO Brad Page has a discussion with energy expert Jason Bordoff of Columbia University's CGEP, and renowned economist Sir Nicholas Stern of the London School of Economics. Lead authors of a co-authored report titled 'Net Zero and Geospheric Return' - Alex Zapantis and Julio Friedmann - follow the panel, unveiling the reports key findings and recommendations.
