The Alien series has a long, complex history with the video game industry. From the 2600 Pac-Man clone days to the hyperrealism of Alien: Isolation, fans of the series have been battling (/hiding from) xenomorphs for nearly five decades.

A lot has been said—and rightfully so—about Ripley and how important she is to the history of the perception of women in Hollywood stories.

But it's worth noting the many progressive, complex, and well-rendered male characters who also make the Alien series so special.
