✨ The very first episode of our Saturday Mornings series—a Bash & Mila tradition where each weekend begins with a "weekend word", a mindset, and a little inspiration to carry into your days.
Saturday mornings at Bash and Mila’s house begin a little differently.
At the start of each weekend, the family chooses a weekend word—one simple idea that follows them through the day… and sometimes, the whole weekend.
This week’s word? Intentar (to try)
When Bash and Mila come downstairs expecting their usual chocolate chip pancakes, they’re met with something new instead… french toast casserole.
Bash is curious.
Mila isn’t so sure.
She knows she loves pancakes.
But how do you know if you’ll like something new… if you’ve never tried it before?
With a little encouragement (and a lot of love), Bash and Mila both decide to give Mom's new breakfast a try, and discover that sometimes, the things we’re unsure about can surprise us in the best way.
Because trying something new doesn’t have to feel big.
Sometimes… it starts with just one small bite.

Las mañanas de sábado en casa de Bash y Mila comienzan un poquito diferente.
Al empezar el fin de semana, la familia elige una palabra del fin de semana—una idea sencilla que los acompaña durante el día… y a veces, todo el fin de semana.

Episode 14: Kid's Dinner
Thursday nights at Bash and Mila's house aren't like other nights.
It's not Mom's turn to cook. It's not Dad's turn either.
Thursday night is Kid's Dinner night...the one night a week when Bash and Mila get to plan, prep, and make dinner for the whole family, all by themselves.
This week? Yogurt parfaits. Bash's favorite.
But when it's time to add the final fruit layer (bananas) they reach for the fruit bowl and find… nothing. The bananas are gone.
Now their parfaits are missing the sweetest part. And dinner is almost ready.
With a little creativity and a lot of teamwork, Bash and Mila take a look at what they do have and come up with a new plan, one that might just make their parfaits even better than the original.
Because sometimes the best ideas don't come from following the recipe exactly.
Sometimes they come from figuring it out as you go.

La Cena de los Niños
Los jueves en casa de Bash y Mila no son como los demás días.
No es el turno de mamá para cocinar. Ni el de papá tampoco.
El jueves por la noche es la Cena de los Niños — la noche de la semana en que Bash y Mila planean, preparan y hacen la cena para toda la familia, completamente solos.

Episode 13: The Car Wash Adventure
Sunday errands don’t sound very exciting to Bash and Mila.
In fact, they’re pretty sure it’s going to be a boring kind of day.
But when Mom and Dad announce their next stop...the car wash, Bash and Mila it's more than just a regular errand.
Because at Bash and Mila's house the car wash isn’t just a car wash.
It’s an underwater sea cave.
As the car rolls into the glowing tunnel, spinning brushes become sea creatures, bubbles swirl like ocean waves, and soon Bash and Mila find themselves exploring a mysterious underwater world. Along the way they meet bouncing sea urchins, glowing colors, and two giant octopus who seem very curious about their shiny treasure car.
By the time the adventure ends, Bash and Mila discover something surprising:

La Aventura del Autolavado
Los mandados del domingo no suenan muy emocionantes para Bash y Mila.
De hecho, están bastante seguros de que será un día un poco aburrido.
Pero cuando mamá y papá anuncian su próxima parada… el autolavado, Bash y Mila saben que puede ser algo más que un mandado cualquiera.
