As a fellow artist, it disturbs me when my peers are so comfortable selling out to systems they claim to hate in their music. “Fuck The Patriarchy” would hit if this girl ever stood for something. Will this be the year that the Swifties finally realize she’s stealing from them too or are we destined to waste away in our tiny apartments with half full fridges?

I became aware of Katie as so many of us became more vocal online for Palestine. She is a proud Jew and masterfully uses her platform for the things everyone should care about. 

I have reluctantly been reminded of how beautiful love is thanks to her most recent Hot Chef weekly blogs on instagram. I literally wait for them to come out now. Writers have such a beautiful way of explaining the most mundane to the mast fantastical. As her new book Queering Him is HIGHLY anticipated and getting rave reviews online, some people think this love story is just too good to be true and another empty marketing ploy. But her following knows her better than that.
