Throwbacks with Matt Leinart & Jerry Ferrara

Pro Bowler and Head Coach of the Delaware State Hornets Desean Jackson joins the show and Matt Leinart declares him “the one that got away” from USC. Desean discusses his new Prime Video documentary Go Deep: The Desean Jackson story, a film 30 years in the making. The superstar wideout remembers his time at Long Beach Poly as he and Matt reminisce over some of the greatest talents to ever come out of California high school football. Desean reveals why he chose to go to Cal for college instead of USC and how Pete Carroll and the Trojans recruited him. Plus, Jerry tells Desean he was one of the most feared Eagles of all-time as Desean retells the story of the Miracle at the Meadowlands 2 and reveals what it was like to catch a deep ball from Michael Vick.

For Throwbacks there is only one way to celebrate Mamba Day: by throwing back to the greatest Kobe stories ever told on the show. Whether it’s from players who had to guard him or hidden behind the scenes moments where Kobe let his guard down and was just a bro, we have heard every type of Kobe story imaginable on Throwbacks. Jerry remembers the time Kobe bet the Entourage cast on halfcourt shots and paid his debt in the most epic way possible. Or for Matt, there was the time they were just two retired dads chilling in LA. Plus stories from Bonzi Wells, Michael Redd, Micah Nori, Raymond Felton and more on the man, the myth, the legend, The Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant.
