From Silence to Strength: Marika's Healing Journey
Marika was only 17 years old when she broke her silence and spoke out about the abuse she experienced within her own family. One of the most striking passages in her chapter describes the moment she realized the world was no longer protecting her -- she was welcomed not with love, but with a six-pack of beer and a pack of cigarettes. That day, she understood she wasn't being given tools to grow but she was being handed tools to self-destruct. From the loss of her twin brother before she took her first breath, to the day she finally spoke her truth, to the moment motherhood changed her forever — Marika carries a message for anyone who has ever felt unheard, caged, or invisible. She reminds us that healing is messy, but absolutely possible — and that our stories, even a hundred years from now, may serve as survival guides for others. Today, Marika uses her voice, her writing, and her podcast to help others step into their worth, rise from trauma, and begin their own healing journey.

A Short and sweet episode full of wisdom and heart with Coach B
✨ In part two of my conversation with Coach B, we dive into the power of giving yourself permission to slow down — even if that means not getting out of bed. She shares her wisdom on how our emotions show up in the world and why sometimes it's better to stay home when you're mad. We also had the sweetest surprise guest: her granddaughter, who absolutely stole the spotlight and our hearts by refusing to leave the camera. 💕 I also reflected on Gone With the Wind, where Scarlett O'Hara's resilience shines through — from vowing never to be hungry again to her iconic reminder that "tomorrow is another day." 🌹 This episode is a mix of honesty, laughter, and life lessons you don't want to miss.

Sipping on Gratitude: A Toast to the New Year
In this first episode of 2025, I'm kicking off the year with a message of gratitude. As I sip my coffee instead of wine, I reflect on the importance of appreciating what I have and setting a powerful, positive tone for the year ahead. I share how I'm choosing to cut back on wine to save more money and live more intentionally. It's all about making conscious choices, focusing on personal growth, and embracing the opportunities this new year brings.

me and Elvis Presley
In this episode, I started reading the new book by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough and I could actually relate to her feeling of not thinking she had something of value to share. I take you on a personal journey through Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley, where I share my experience of visiting the mansion and reflecting on the King of Rock 'n' Roll's lasting influence. Alongside this, I share a deeply personal story: how I got my own name, which was inspired by an incredibly tragic event. If I had been a boy, I would've been named Elvis Presley, but since I was a girl, my dad chose a name from a heartbreaking case involving a kidnapped child and a story of unspeakable loss.
