We know how to deal with biological threats—we sanitize, isolate, and contain the spread. But what if the Torah warns us about something far more dangerous… something you can’t quarantine?

In Parashat Tazria–Metzora, we encounter the strange and often misunderstood topic of tzara’at. It looks like a disease. It spreads like a disease. But it doesn’t behave like one. So what is it?

Why would someone be declared clean when their condition gets worse?
Why is a priest—not a physician—responsible for diagnosis?
