The Insider's Guide to Copenhagen

Rhea Leman is a born and raised New Yorker who has lived in the heart of the old part of Copenhagen for many years.

As a director and playwright, she is a known figure in the world of theatre, and today, she is taking Esben Bjerre for a tour around her neighbourhood, which includes The Royal Danish Opera, Kastellet, The National Gallery and Østre Anlæg.

Inan Isik grew up in Istanbul, but a fashion trainee programme eventually led her to Copenhagen, where she now lives and works. In this episode, Inan takes Esben just north of the city, where they go for a bike ride through Jægersborg Deer Park and the surrounding areas. Here, they visit the old royal hunting lodge, enjoy an idyllic lunch, and visit the house of Danish design great Finn Juhl.

Enlai Hooi, an architect from Australia, moved to Copenhagen on a one-way ticket to follow his passion for architecture in Europe.  He's captivated by the city's connection to the water and the feeling of being able to truly be yourself. He's taking Esben on a tour of his favorite spots, where they visit different architecture from the modernist SAS Royal Hotel to the charming medieval streets while enjoying Copenhagen's vibrant selection of sustainable food and drinks.
