- This week on Stay Outta My Fridge, we're doing something we've somehow never done before: walking into Dollar General and buying foods that none of us have ever tried.
The rules were simple. Beard Laws, Iyla, Evan, and Colden each had to hunt down something new—something that looked good, looked weird, or was just interesting enough that we had to know what it tasted like.
Then we headed back to the studio and tried everything.
On the menu:
Kid Cuisine
Kool-Aid Sour Frostbite
Zombie Peelers
Butter Rings cookies
Frollies Fruit Stacks
Brownie Brittle
Riesen chocolate caramel
Vlasic Pickle Balls
Along the way, we discover just how bad a soggy microwave chicken nugget can be, let cookies predict our futures, debate why everything apparently tastes like medicine, and find out whether pickle-flavored corn puffs have any business being as good as they are.
By the end, everybody has to rank their Dollar General discoveries from best to worst—and there are definitely some disagreements.
What food have you walked past 100 times but never actually tried?
Follow Stay Outta My Fridge for more food challenges, blind taste tests, cheap vs. expensive battles, weird snacks, family arguments and the occasional food decision we immediately regret.
New episodes every week.

Beard Laws, Avery and Evan each get the same challenge: spend no more than $10, buy their own ingredients at Dollar General and turn them into the best lunch possible.
There’s one more problem: once someone claims an ingredient, it’s off limits to everyone else.
After shopping, the three competitors head into the kitchen with 30 minutes to turn their budget groceries into an actual meal.
The final menu:
• Beard Laws: chicken quesadillas with seasoned fries
• Avery: cheesy chicken pasta
• Evan: homemade pizza bombs
And things do NOT exactly go according to plan.
There are changing recipes, dough problems, missing ingredients, questionable cooking decisions and plenty of kitchen chaos before all three meals finally make it to the table.
Then comes the part that matters: the blind taste test.
The judges don’t know who cooked each meal. They taste all three, choose their favorites and determine who actually made the best $10 Dollar General lunch.
Can spending less actually produce the better meal? And what would YOU make with $10?
Listen through the end for the winner and the post-challenge breakdown of what worked, what went wrong and what everyone would do differently next time.

This week on Stay Outta My Fridge, we're putting eight different Slim Jim flavors to the test and ranking every one from worst to best.
We're trying:
Original
Mild
Spicy
Tabasco
Teriyaki
Pepperoni & Cheese
Mild & Cheese
Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo Style Chicken Stick
The rules are simple: taste each one, argue about where it belongs, and keep rearranging the rankings until we crown the official Stay Outta My Fridge Slim Jim champion.
Can anything actually beat the Original? Is the Buffalo Wild Wings collaboration any good? And which flavor gets unanimously dumped at the bottom of the list?
There are disagreements, questionable food opinions, a little Slim Jim history, and enough sodium to preserve the entire family through winter.
Listen to the episode, then tell us: What's YOUR favorite Slim Jim flavor, and which one did we completely screw up?

We thought we could too.
In this episode of Stay Outta My Fridge, the family puts six popular name brand foods head-to-head against their Dollar General counterparts in a blind taste test to see if the extra money is actually buying a better product... or just a familiar logo.
With blindfolds on, a homemade trophy on the line, and plenty of trash talk along the way, things get a lot harder than anyone expected.
Foods We Tested
• Oreos vs Clover Valley Sandwich Cookies
• Pop-Tarts vs Clover Valley Toaster Pastries
• Cheez-Its vs Clover Valley Cheese Crackers
• Pringles vs Clover Valley Potato Crisps
• Lucky Charms vs Marshmallow Treasures
• Nutri-Grain Bars vs Clover Valley Fruit Bars
Along the way you'll hear:
• Which snacks actually fooled us
• The biggest surprises of the challenge
• Family arguments, laughs, and plenty of wrong guesses
• A homemade trophy that somehow became serious business
• An unexpected tie that forced a last-minute tiebreaker

That's exactly what we decided to find out.
Armed with an AI-generated shopping list and a $35 budget, we headed to Dollar General to see if artificial intelligence could actually create a meal worthy of a restaurant. The results? Garlic Parmesan waffle strips, a bacon waffle burger and candy biscuit bombs stuffed with everything from Milky Way bars to sour candy.
Some recipes sounded ridiculous.
Some surprised us.
One might actually become part of our family's regular dinner rotation.
Join Beard Laws, Megh and Avery as they shop, cook, laugh and taste-test every AI creation before deciding if ChatGPT is secretly a chef... or should stick to answering questions.
If you enjoy family food challenges, budget meals, taste tests and the occasional kitchen disaster, you're in the right place.
