  • Episode 35 - Football Schedule Released + Trouncing Tech + Longhorn Letdown + Tennis Thriller
The 2024 TCU Football schedule was released last week, with the Horned Frogs set for eleven Power 4 opponents, opening the season at Stanford and closing at Cincinnati. How did the Big 12 schedule makers treat the Frogs in the first season of the new-look 16-team league? Men's Basketball secured another Top 15 win by downing the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Fort Worth during the week as Micah Peavy torched his former team, scoring 18 points on 4-4 from three-point range. The Frogs followed that up with a Saturday dud in what will likely be the final time the Texas Longhorns visit Schollmaier Arena, surrendering its most lopsided result of Big 12 play with an 11-point loss. Women's Basketball showed a ton of fight, leading late vs. Kansas on Saturday, but ultimately dropped the contest after getting outscored 24-13 in the fourth quarter. Sydney Harris led the way with a 22 points & 6 rebounds off the bench. Men's Tennis was back in action in Fort Worth with a dominating victory over #15 Stanford and a thrilling 4-3 comeback win over #6 Tennessee as Jake Fearnley rallied from a set down to defeat Johannus Monday 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) while Lui Maxted & Tomas Jirousek each took home 6-3, 6-2 winners to deliver the victory. TCU Rifle takes home the Patriot Rifle Conference Championship with the NCAA Qualifiers coming in two weeks and the NCAA Championships in March.

  • Episode 34 - Wild Waco Win + Women's Hoops Downs UCF + Tennis Punches ITA Ticket
TCU Men's Basketball had the dreaded two-game Big 12 road trip and emerged with a pair of much-needed victories. The Horned Frogs came back from a 17-point deficit to escape with a win in Avery Anderson III's homecoming to Stillwater where he played four seasons for the Cowboys before transferring to TCU. On Saturday, TCU got one its biggest results of the season, taking down #15 Baylor in a triple overtime shootout as Jameer Nelson put up 30 points, including the go-ahead bucket. TCU Women's Basketball earned the national spotlight with a full feature on SportsCenter after its win over UCF in the first game back on the court after bringing in four walk-ons following a pair of forfeits due to injuries. Aaliyah Roberson powered the Frogs with 17 points and Sydney Harris was a revelation off the bench, dropping 14 points. TCU would drop a tough game in Lubbock to Texas Tech, but gets the week off before returning to Schollmaier on Saturday vs. Kansas. It was ITA Kickoff Weekend for both Men & Women's Tennis squads. The Women went 1-1 in College Station, falling to Texas A&M in the Regional Final. The #5-ranked Men's team swept through its competition to move to 3-0 on the season and reach the ITA National Team Indoor Championship for the 6th straight season, looking to lift the trophy for the third consecutive season.

  • Episode 33 - Basketball Blues: Men's Turnover Travesties + Women's Unprecedented Injuries
TCU Men's Basketball suffered two losses this week with historically bad turnover performances, dropping an overtime contest in Cincinnati with a season-worst 19 turnovers. The Frogs promptly followed that up with a program-worst 27 giveaways vs. Iowa State to drop first home game of the season. TCU Women's Basketball suffered a major setback as continued injury accumulation left the Frogs without enough players available to safely play last week, forced to issue forfeits for two conference games. It was a bizarre week that culminated in an open tryout and TCU Volleyball's Sarah Sylvester joins the Hoops roster as a walk on. Other Spring sports get rolling as #2 TCU Rifle bested #9 Ohio State, Women's Tennis opens its season with a 7-0 sweep of Northwestern State while the #4 Men's squad opens play Wednesday before hosting ITA Kickoff Weekend beginning Saturday, as it aims for a third consecutive Indoor National Championship.

  • Episode 31 - Robbed at the Phog (Kansas Recap) + Sedona Prince Injured + Portal Palooza
TCU Men's Basketball had the season's first signature win ripped from its hands on Saturday in Phog Allen Fieldhouse in controversial fashion. The Horned Frogs battled the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks and held a lead in the final minute before a questionable flagrant foul call flipped the game upside down, ultimately leading to TCU's demise. Aside from the tough finish, there are plenty of positive takeaways from the game, including Trey Tennyson's breakout performance with 24 points & six three-pointers. What can TCU lean on with home games this week against highly ranked Oklahoma & Houston? TCU Women's Basketball suffered a major setback this week, losing two conference games, but more critically losing star Center Sedona Prince to a broken finger. The Frogs led against Baylor at halftime, but the Bears got hot from long range in the 2nd half while TCU stayed ice cold. The transfer cycle continues for TCU Football, with the Frogs adding Vandy QB Ken Seals & Utah DB JaTravis Broughton. However TCU lost two of its previous transfer commitments as DB Donovan Saunders flipped to Texas A&M while OL Howard Sampson flipped to UNC.
