As Americans gather around the table today, those meals cost less than last year but are still much more than just a few years ago. In fact, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the traditional Thanksgiving dinner this year will be 19% higher than before the pandemic. Stew Leonard Junior, the president and CEO of Stew Leonard’s supermarket chain, joins the Rundown to discuss why food prices remain high years after COVID-19 lockdowns, what retailers and consumers are doing to cope with inflation, and what could bring down prices.

Evening Edition: ICE Forms Task Force To Combat Venezuelan Gang
The acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner said the dangerous Venezuelan gang 'Tren de Aragua' (TdA) now poses enough of a threat in the U.S. that a new priority task force has been formed to combat them. The task force named 'Operation Athens' in honor of nursing student Laken Riley who was murdered by a TdA member in Athens, Georgia. ICE says that about twenty percent of all open investigations being conducted by them are related to this gang.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with FOX's Griff Jenkins, reporting from Washington D.C., who says President-elect Trump should feel some vindication for warning about the dangers of this transnational gang.

The Department Of Education. Should It Stay Or Should It Go?
On the campaign trail, President-elect Trump made big promises when it came to education, calling for an end to the Department of Education. Then candidate Trump pointed out anti-Semitism on college campuses, transgender women in women's sports, and "woke" teachings for the reasons why he would slash the department. He's charged former business executive Linda McMahon as his nominee to lead the department, with many fearing that cuts could cause a shakeup for public schools. Former Department of Education Secretary during the first Trump administration, Betsy DeVos, joins the Rundown to discuss why she believes the Department of Education has become obsolete.
Earlier this week, the Trump administration announced plans to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, as well as 10% tariffs on goods from China. Many experts have criticized the plan, saying it will increase inflation and harm the relationship with the border countries. Professor emeritus at the University of Maryland and tariff expert Peter Morici joins to break down Trump's plan and share insights on what would happen to the economy.

Sanctuary Cities Vow To Fight Mass Deportations
President-elect Trump campaigned heavily on the issue of the border, zeroing in on how he would tackle the increasing problem of illegal immigration. Even before he has been sworn into office, Democratic mayors and governors across the nation are vowing to defy the new administration, promising they will not cooperate with President Trump on issues of immigration and the border. Former federal prosecutor and defense attorney Andrew Cherkasky weighs in on just how much individual power these sanctuary cities and states have to resist the laws of the land or the orders of the President.
