  • The Advice of Sir Rex & The Appeal to Authority Fallacy
Sir Rex Grandshield's Wacky Advice! 🐸✨The Glugging Gargoyle Tavern is buzzing! Sir Chucklenugget has a visitor: his cousin, the incredibly dashing and famous Sir Reginald 'Rex' Grandshield! 👑 Rex is known for defeating the legendary Bone Dragon, and everyone in Snaggleton is totally impressed! 🤩Because Sir Rex is so brave and cool, all the Snaggletonians start asking him for advice on EVERYTHING! Sir Chucklenugget asks about squeaky drawbridges, Snotbeard wants tips for smashing rocks, Sparky needs help with her inventions, and Granny Gigglesnort asks for a secret potion ingredient! 🧪Sir Rex has very interesting advice: troll slime for drawbridges, singing to rocks, and even ogre's dandruff for flying potions! 🤣 Everyone believes him because he's so famous... well, almost everyone! Stanky, Granny's patchwork assistant, has a funny feeling about it. 🤔When Granny brews a new flying potion with Sir Rex's "secret" ingredient, something totally unexpected happens! 🐸 Everyone who drinks it turns into... FROGS! 😱 Croak! Croak! Can Stanky, with Granny's help (and some gross ingredients!), brew an antidote to turn everyone back? And what important lesson will the Snaggletonians learn about believing advice just because someone is famous? After the story, we'll be joined again by Stephanie Simoes from Critikid.com! She'll help us understand another logical fallacy, called Appeal to Authority – just like what happened when the Snaggletonians believed Sir Rex's wacky advice! This particular episode was requested by Landon, who has been waiting so patiently – this one’s for you, Landon! We're digging up awesome monsters from old stories. 📖 We'll learn what makes them special ✨, and what they might eat 🍎. Plus, we'll learn new words! 🤓 Imagine a colossal creature perched on a jagged mountain peak. Its scales shimmer in the sunlight, perhaps like polished emeralds or molten gold. Smoke curls from its nostrils, and its enormous, leathery wings are tucked tightly against its powerful body. It soars with immense power, circling its lair, watching over its vast treasure hoard hidden deep within the mountain's caves. Can you guess what it is? ... A Dragon! 🐉Dragons are legendary creatures found in myths and folklore all over the world. They are often shown as giant, snake-like or lizard-like beasts with wings, sharp claws, and sometimes the ability to breathe fire! 🔥 They are known for their immense power and intelligence, making them truly formidable foes.
