The third season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime television series is based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami. An animated adaptation of the manga was originally announced in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, which was published in November 2019.[1]
Following the conclusion of the second season, an unspecified anime sequel covering the "Culling Game" story arc from the manga was announced.[2][3] In August 2025, it was announced that the sequel would be the series' third season, currently titled The Culling Game: Part 1 (死滅回游 前編, Shimetsu Kaiyū: Zenpen), which premiered with a one-hour special featuring the first two episodes of the season on January 9, 2026. Shōta Goshozono returns from the previous season to direct, with Hiroshi Seko and Yoshimasa Terui [ja] respectively returning as series composition writer and music composer.[4][5][6][a]
The season is adapting the manga's "Itadori's Extermination", "Perfect Preparation", and "Culling Game" story arcs.[7][2] The plot follows the Jujutsu Sorcerers entering the Culling Game,[8][9] with the main objective of fighting off Kenjaku[10] and freeing Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm.[11] A compilation film of Shibuya Incident, which also featured the first two episodes of The Culling Game: Part 1, premiered in Japanese theaters on November 7, 2025.[4]

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle

    15/09/2025 | 1h 6min
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle (Japanese: 劇場版「鬼滅の刃」無限城編, Hepburn: Gekijō-ban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Jō-hen) is a 2025 Japanese animated dark fantasy action film based on the "Infinity Castle" arc of the 2016–20 manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge. It is a direct sequel to the fourth season of the anime television series as well as the manga fourth, fifth, and sixth adaptations, following the film Mugen Train (2020) and the feature-length compilations To the Swordsmith Village (2023) and To the Hashira Training (2024). It is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, produced by Ufotable, and written by the studio's staff members.
Unlike the Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training adaptations, which are compilation films, Infinity Castle is a feature-length multi-film adaptation due to the arc's content and dramatic pacing, similarly to Mugen Train. It is the first film of a trilogy announced in June 2024, immediately following the airing of the fourth season's finale.[4]
Officially titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns, it was released in Japan on July 18, 2025, by Aniplex and Toho. It was released by Crunchyroll through Sony Pictures Releasing in select Asian countries in August, before releasing in all other territories the following month. The film broke several box office records and grossed $386 million worldwide. It became the fourth highest-grossing Japanese film worldwide, the highest-grossing film of 2025 in Japan, and the third highest-grossing film in the country's history. The film received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its action sequences, visuals, and engaging story, although some noted pacing issues.
After recovering from Kagaya Ubuyashiki's trap and subduing Tamayo, Muzan Kibutsuji retreats into his dimensional stronghold, the Infinity Castle, and traps the Demon Slayer Corps inside.[a] The Demon Slayers are separated and begin battling numerous powerful demons as they search for Muzan. Kagaya's son Kiriya and daughters Kuina and Kanata lead the operation by mapping the Infinity Castle with the Kasugai crows and locating its inhabitants, with former Hashiras Tengen Uzui and Shinjuro Rengoku standing guard.

Madhouse has produced an anime television series adaptation, with its first 28-episode season broadcast from September 2023 to March 2024. A second season is set to premiere in January 2026.
By February 2025, the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga had over 24 million copies in circulation. The manga won the 14th Manga Taishō and the 25th annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize's New Creator Prize in 2021, and the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award and the 48th Kodansha Manga Award (in the shōnen category) in 2024.
The elven mage Frieren is a former member of a party of adventurers who defeated the Demon King and restored harmony to the world after a ten-year quest. The party also consists of the human hero Himmel, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the human priest Heiter. Before they part, they observe the Era Meteors, a meteor shower that occurs once every fifty years. Frieren agrees to see the group again for the next occurrence of the Era Meteors. Frieren departs and travels the world in pursuit of magical knowledge.
